No relation that I've been able to find. The name did make it hell in
engineering school since all the profs (especially Physics) thought I
MUST
know the answer. Truth is I was more likely drinking than studying the
night
before... There is a very distant relation to DeBeers and the
Oppenheimer
Fund (we're the poor relations that nobody acknowledges). Anyway, I
got the
name because my dad was in the Pacific theatre of operations during WW2
and
was grateful to J. Robert that the need to invade the Japanese homeland
had
been removed. Horrible things either way.
And I suppose you've been asked on occasion about any relation to Jim
Morrison of "The Doors".
