How to turn off origins in schematic

Former Member

Hi,

I'm "new" to EAGLE - I've looked at it several times over the last ten years, and actually laid out my first board with it back in high school. Since then, I've put thousands of hours on PADS (and hundreds on P-CAD). Now that I'm looking at starting a new company (and not wanting to spend 4-5K just yet on schematic/layout software) and have some interest in producing some open-source hardware designs, I'm trying to pick EAGLE back up again.

I've created most of the library parts I need for my first design, and I'm starting on the schematic. How do I turn off the origin crosshairs that appear in the schematic editor? I realize this sounds pretty minor, but I find it pretty annoying. I've done some searching and can only find threads about turning off the t/bOrigins layers on a PCB design.

Thank you,

Andy

    It should be on the lower left outside or on the left bottom corner of

    the schematic. Keep your stuff in the positive x,y quadrant.

    Hi Andy

    This is mentioned in the HELP under SET

    The command is:

    set Option.ShowPartOrigins 0;

    After entering the command above you will need to cause the screen to

    refresh before the origin crosses disappear. F2 or just move a part.

    Paul and Warren:

    Thanks for the quick responses. I had already aligned my drawing block/frame to the sheet origin. The "set Option.ShowPartOrigins 0" command was exactly what I was looking for - all the component/text origin markings turned off.

    Thank you!

    Andy
