Notes on schematics ?

Many years ago (far too many), back in the days of vellum or mylar with the

plastic lead, we used to make a point of putting note "clouds" on

schematics (address maps, port maps, wave form comments etc) that were very

handy for anyone later using the schematics for debugging etc. I miss

those days (somewhat) - what is the best way these days to put notes for

people on the schematics ? Put stuff on the documentation layer (tables

etc) or how do most folks do it ? Snooping through the manual and the

online tutorials, I have not seen any mention of that.

Yep - bit of a different mind set (and who knows why "cut" = "copy"!).
Like in Sony Vegas (video editor) - if you want to adjust the audio track
volume you will go nuts trying to find that in the help files. The answer
is you apply an "envelope" to the track which you can then manipulate.
Would have been nice if the index had "volume - see envelope" or
something.

You mean it's not obvious you use WIRE to draw lines, except of course when
those lines represent wires!?

Sounds good to me - thanks for the feedback -- I have learned that what
seems "intuitively obvious" in Eagle may not be ... like not using "wire"
to connect things in a schematic

DOC is fine too. You can use whatever you want. I tend to use INFO, but
that's probably just because that's what I did long ago.

OK, so use the info (97) not the Doc (48) layer in general for that sort of
thing ? I will go with that plan. Turn on the appropriate layers when
printing so I have the "INFO" for my notes (makes life easier). Thanks.
