EAGLE 6.1.0 Won't open new project

After updating to 6.1.0 I noticed I can no longer open a new project or folder in the "Projects" directory. I get the error message telling me that path does not exist. I checked the library path and it remains "$EAGLEDIR/projects". I even changed it to the written path instead of using the $EAGLEDIR command but got the same results. Existing projects open fine and can be used normally, just no new ones. Any suggestion on how to fix this?

I found the fix for this issue. Like on most of the directories under 6.1.0 on my MAC running Lion, I had to specifically give myself "permission" to read and write files under the projects directory. It didn't accept just the administrator title, it had to be my administrator account.

Under this 6.1.0 update I have had to individually grant permission to each library file, ULP, SCR, and now the directories as well. That is awefully time consuming.

    Hi Thomas,

It may be better to reinstall EAGLE in a directory that does not require

permissions such as the document folder.

This is what one of our German techs does.

    hth,
