Components that should not be on BOM

When you have solder pads on the PCB board for connecting or for testing,

then these pads should not appear on the Bill Of Material.

Is is possible to define some components in a way that they are not listed

as components?

I always end up post-processing the BOM -- you can take them out then.

Why am I not happy that they have found common ground?

At least, you can automate that. Just define an attribute or a prefix,

and set up an Excel macro that remove those lines.

I have an attribute NO_BOM for this kind of parts (target for optical alignments,

    ...).

When generating the BOM I only consider devices that have a package and that

do not have the NO_BOM attribute set.
