Hello,
Would it be possible to have a new feature that could be called "swap
signals" to avoid "renaming" (using NAME command) segments of a net when you
want to swap 2 nets.
Here is the scenario:
Suppose you have a diode, one pin connected to N$1, one pin connected to
N$2.
Suppose you want to swap the pins.
You can't use "pinswap" because the pins are not equivalent (a more complex
example would be swapping "pins" between different gates/devices).
Then in the schematic, you have to rename N$1 in N$1_ , then N$2 to N$2_,
then N$1_ to N$2 and then N$2_ to N$1. Each time by renaming only the
selected net. Thanks to a recent version of eagle you don't loose your
routing completly anymore (once upon a time you had to use other tricks not
to loose too much time).
If there would be some "swap signals" to do that, I would REALLY appreciate
because usually, here in my company, we have some designs with tens or
hundreds of signals to swap (because we have FPGA we can swap signals
easily).
If that kind of "swap signals" would be also available in the board, that
would be even more awesome.
Best regards.
Frédéric Lochon.
