Changing Excellon Drill File Outputs

Hi all,

 

I have spent quite some time searching for how to correctly create an

excellon output device with the following settings:

 

- Metric 3:2 (# of digits)

- Zero suppression: Leading

- Coordinates: Absolute

 

I know these changes are made to eagle.def but I don't know how to

interpret the settings to make the changes above. Any help would be greatly

appreciated.

 

The reason for wanting these settings is to make it easy for the person who

will be operating the PCB mill.

    I don't have a EXCELLON definition at hand but you could test this:

     

    You have to change the ResX/ResY lines of the EXCELLON definition.

    Currently its set to 10.000 steps per inch. For Millimeters you have

    to set it to 25400 steps per inch or 254.000 (depending on the

    resolution.

     

    The Init should contain MM instead of INCH

     

    In BeginData  M72 stands for inch, it should be M71 for mm....
