error:  some objects extend outside the allowed board area

I have loaded an old board I wish not to redo and everytime I try to moving somthing I get this error:

The light edition of Eagle can't preform the requested action!

some objects extend outside the allowed board area.

The board does have a number of lines ( not just 4 ) but they over lap so it looks closed, not sure if this is my issue. Even if I move an object clearly in the board area it says this. What could I have done? Is there a way to have EAGLE re draw my board?

That message is presented when you try to place an element outside of the

permitted limits for your version of the software.

The points that are tested are the element's origin and the pad centres of

    that element(package).

The limited versions of the software will let you load designs that are

beyond the limits but not let you relocate a moved element (package) outside

    the limit area.

You can place all other objects beyond the limits (if I remember correctly)

Which version was the old board created with?

Which version are you trying to open it with now?
