Problems with drawing the ARC in tPlace layer

And just one more thing - is there a way to somehow draw the second arc

to be precisely symmetrical in respect to the y-axis? It is not easy to

draw exactly the same arc on the another side of the y-axis, the second

one should be a mirror of the first one.

Your trimmer is one of

the simpliest to make because you can use the circles as a guide.

Set the GRID to FINEST

Click on the circle where you want to start the arc. Hold the CTL key down

and click the centre. Move to the end point of the arc and left click. You

should have your arc.

 

I find the described procedure works only when using Wire with Wire

Bend option 7 (Freehand), did you mean that combination when you've

said 'Wire tool with curve'?

I was following this tutorial on creating the parts:

The author mentioned two shortcuts:

'Press Alt+F10 and you should see the coordinates in the upper task bar

switch to mm.'

and

'We're switching back to Imperial units! Press F10.'

I can see in Eagle 6 F10 is for Redo. Does that mean F10 was the

shortcut to switch to inches in previous versions? Which command has to

be assigned to some key to switch to mm or to in?

I thought I might draw the arcs with the ARC command + parameters with

precise position, radius ad starting&endong angles, but seems that

doesn't work. I thought I could draw some arbitrary acr and then edit

the parameters but the arc parameters are dimmed.

 

Is there maybe a way to draw the circle, explode it, and then cut the

portions around the pads?
