Connector w/ multiple pads on a single circuit

dukepro

I know this has been covered before, but I can't seem to find an elegant

solution.

I am trying to build an FPC connector that has two SMD pads on each

circuit - one on each side of the connector.  I also have an existing

symbol that I use for a plethora of connectors.

An elegant solution would be to keep the symbol unchanged (20 pin in my

case) and be able to route to either of the two pads that are on that

circuit.  i.e. I'd be nice if Eagle were aware that the two SMD's are

electrically connected internal to the device.

Ideas?

Thanks,

    - Chuck

I couldn't figure out how to get the ANY to work through the GUI.  Works

    fine in a script.

Once you appended your PINs to your PADs, an icon in the connection-pane

shows you the selected option. Move the mouse over the icon and you'll

get a tooltip with a textual description. Then click the icon to switch

between ANY and ALL back and forth.

    Hi Chuck,

What I do is hold down the shift key and select the pads I wish to

connect to the single pin. Then I just hit connect and it works.

That did it quite nicely.  Thanks for the help.

Version 6.2, however, is still in a very desolate condition.

    Hi Chuck,

Version 6.2, however, is still in a very desolate condition. The current

Beta 6.2.1 is better, but far away from being good. The CadSoft

developers already fixed many issues for the next beta, but there are

still outstanding bugs (SHOW @, for example). Therefore, consider

waiting for the next release before dropping your previous version.
