how to make a second copy of a device, symbol or package in the same library?

I have a symbol or package, and I just want to make a second copy of it.

I know I can rename, but that's not what I want. I want to make a second copy so I can have two versions.

 

Now I copy to a "trash" libray, rename, and copy back.

Is there a better way to just make a second copy of device, symbol or package?

 

(cuts and paste not very good as the pins aren't connected, and the text notes not copied)

    from the online help:

     

    Copy library objects

    By writing COPY deviceset@library or COPY package@library you can copy

    a device set or a package from a given library into the currently

    loaded library. If an additional name is given, the copied object will

    be given that name. This can also be done through the library objects'

    context menu or via Drag&Drop from the Control Panel's tree view.

    So to copy a package called pot from luibrary called db to create packge called pot2 in that same library, would I load db and then type:

     

    copy pot@db pot2@db

     

    Is this documented somewhere?

    copy pot@db pot2 is sufficient.

    the description I posted is from the online help. Type 'help copy' on

    the command line and scroll down to 'Copy library objects'
