Suggestion for info dialog box

e14 Contributor

Hello,

I'll find very useful if the information dialog box will have the

following features:

- not modal, but

- stay on top (of course within EAGLE application)

- allow to change the current object

Often I need to inspect several objects to get/set their coordinates or

any other information.

I need to close and reopen the dialog box every time I want to change

the component.

Instead I'd like I can keep open the window and just clicking on another

object.

Marco

Excellent idea.  It could be dockable like a tool bar or similar to a

properties box in NetBeans.  Or undock it and drag it out of the

    confines of the editor window.

Count me in on this request.

I can see how that would be useful and I wouldn't be opposed to this as

long as you can place it somewhere where it doesn't take away from my work

space.  Altium has a info box that is actually semi-transparent so you can

sort of see what is behind.  What would even be better would be able to

drag it to some other corner or position in the screen.

The best way is to make all these features customizable. So you can

choose to have the dialog box transparent or to drag it to your

preferred place. Who doesn't need the new behavior may just continue to

use as usual. Open, check info and close.
