Texas Instruments CAD Libraries for Cadsoft EAGLE can't be loaded

Hello,

I want to apply the TI CAD library for eagle and I have followed exactly the instruction:

1. Download and extract the file.

2. Copy the library file (.lbr) to EAGLE library folder; "C:\Program Files\EAGLE-X.XX.X\lbr" (X.XX.X is your EAGLE software version)

3. Start EAGLE software.

4. Under EAGLE Control Panel, go to the Library tree and browse for new copied library (.lbr) file.

5. Right click on the library and select "USE".

However, this file can't be loaded because the software gives the warning that the lbr. file contains invalid files.

I'm using Eagle 5.11.0 professional version.

Could someone please help me?

Thanks!

Most likely it is a Version-6 library which cannot be used in a

    Version-5 program directly.

Where did you get this library from? I could not find it at Cadsoft

    download site.

Some of the TI product pages offer Eagle libraries. I know they offer

    MSP430 libraries.

Are the TI libraries eventual for V6?

If yes, and you don't have a V6 license, this might work:

    - Download and install V6 in addition to V5 without deleting V5

    - Load the TO library in V6

    - Export as script

    - Open V5 and import the script

    Bye

    Hi,

thank you very much for you replies.

    I tried this method:

    - Load the TO library in V6

    - Export as script

    - Open V5 and import the script

But when I wanted to import the script, following warning is given:

    C://Programme/EAGLE-5.11.0/scr/Texas Instruments element14.scr, Zeile 82: Unbekannte Change-Option:Align

That's why the library couldn't be loaded properly.

Give an link where to download the TI libraries.

    Hi,

I tried. After 10 minutes I have edited 1% of the entire bibliothek. How could I skipt the warning for each part/ each mistake in the script so it can correct it automaticly. Or maybe I can only correct the script for a single device? I tried also to cut the device, but the cut function is not available in the light version.

    Thanks!

Hi, I found a way to select a single part, which is a satisfying tempory solution.

    1. Add the particular part to a new, separate library.

    2. Save it.

    3. Export in v6 as script

    4. Import in v5 and correct the script.

If someone has a general solution for all parts, it would be great!
