I know I can SHO to highlight, but is there a way to hide all routed nets except fot VCC and GND?

Sure can.as they are defined separately.
The palettes are a bit tricky. Read the manual to understand them.
In essence the first row of the palette is 'normal' or lowlight.
The next row is the highlight for the previous row.
The third row is lowlights again and the forth row is their highlighted
color.
Then there is a consideration that I cannot find a previous mention of.
If you turn off alpha blending the following happens
When an object is highlighted it does not appear in the color of the
palette, as expected.
i.e. That object is not redrawn in the expected highlight colour. When
highlighting, an object is replicated and placed on top of the chosen
object. As you have one object on top of another the bits of the color
codes are ORed together(Assuming the black palette).
Have a look at the default red for the TOP layer. The RGB components are
200,50,50
The highlight red is 255, 0, 0
But when you analyse the resultant color it is 255,50,50
Be aware of this interaction of the normal and highlighted colors. Odd
results can happen.
Something that may work for you
lowlight red 200,50,50
highlight 50,50,200 ( The blue color normally used for lowlight Bottom
layer)
When ORed during the highlighting process you get a bright Magenta color.
You see this color happening normally when a trace on the Top layer crosses
a trace on the lower layer(default colors assumed)
You said earlier you had problems discerning the highlighted objects on your
monitor. Many users turn off alpha blending, this helps with brightness.
Experiment to find something you can livewith.

So you want to hide traces rather nets.
I think it's not possible, anyway what's your purpose?
If you hide some tracks you cannot route anything else because you may
overlap them easily.
Perhaps there is another way to fix your issue.

You can only hide layers.
You can't hide routed traces and leave only, say, VCC and GND showing.
You can get SHOW to highlight both simultaneously
SHOW VCC GND
This may be what you are after.
Another option is to make use of the ULP copy-layer-to-any-layer.ulp
Make a new user defined layer, say 100
Use the ULP twice.
First time through copy Layer 1 VCC and GND traces to layer 100
Second time through copy Layer 16 VCC and GND traces to layer 100
You will see VCC and GND much like the higlighting of SHOW. To get a view
like you requested turn off layer 1 and 16. Downside is the problem of
editing layers 1 and 16 after this. It's a bit messy as layer 100 needs to
be managed also.
Another technique that comes to mind is to temporarly change palette colour
for the un-highlighted colour of the layer to one close or equal to the
background. When you go SHOW VCC GND it will be a view close to what you
are asking for.
Trouble is you loose this highlighting of VCC GND as you attempt edits. The
up-side is you can easily get it back with an 'up arrow' if you previously
typed SHOW VCC GND in the command line so in practice it's quite usable.
The downside is you really need a ULP to manage the changing and restore of
the palette colours.

Select a signal, open the properties window and flag "airwires hidden".
Read the help about "RATSNEST" you'll find other information about
hiding airwires...
