Project LIB problem for eagle on Windows and Linux

would need to re-enable them each time I change computers and there

are allot of them.

 

You have not said whether you are storing the project on the server or if

you are operating with local copies.

If a project is open, then the eagle.epf file (there's one in each project

folder) will store the 'used' library paths/names so the project needs to be

on a server for the eagle.epf file to be available for all your computers.

Ensure you have set up the paths to the libraries and projects etc. the same

on all your computers as you may be pointing at other copies of the

libraries etc.

The manual recommends using UNC notation rather than drive letters.

Linux requires colons to seperate paths(Windows semicolons) See manual.

Run a test to confirm you are accessing a single library repository.

Thanks for the reply. I store the projects on the server eg: \\server\electronics\projects. I have tried the UNC notation but it differs from Linux to Windows because Linux requires SMB in front to access a windows share. The problem is if the paths located in the eagle.epf file are not accessible by one of the systems it clears all the selected library's and you have to re-enable them from scratch.

After allot of effort to find the solutionI have created a small program that opens the eagle.epf file and changes the Library paths to the correct ones for each operating system and then launches Eagle depending on what system I am on. Would have been nice to find something a little easier.
