combine schematic sheets, maintain board consistency

hello,

 

recently upgraded to version 6 solely to use the import/paste function.

 

i am not panelizing-- i need an identical conditioning module several

times on the same board, the routing is complicated hence i just need to

copy the layout.

 

this worked fine in version 6.

 

unfortunately it's not terribly graceful. for a rather small circuit my

project now has a huge number of schematic sheets.

 

how can i combine these sheets and maintain consistency?

 

more simply, there are often cases where i'd like to clean up a

schematic by moving material between sheets (while the board file

remains consistent). as far as i can tell is this not possible?

    Hi Brian,

     

    I hope your doing well. This is possible. You have to perform a group->

    Move operation. Here's the procedure:

     

    1. Use the GROUP command to select the entirety of the sheet you wish to

    relocate.

    2. Perform a MOVE operation on the group, now the whole schematic sheet

    will be on your mouse cursor.

    3. Click on the sheet you want to move to.

    4. Now the original sheet is still hanging on your mouse cursor. Place

    it wherever you wish.

    i had no idea you could switch sheets mid-move.
