I imported the  Eagle gerbers & drill file in cam 350. But the drills are

placed outside the board. (i.e) Larger than the board(Plz refer the

attached image). Do we need to change the format? Plz suggest. Thanks!!

I tried to import the gerbers through both Auto import & the manual import.

In both cases I got the same result.  Of course the fab house won't get

confused by this. The problem is I need to do the  panelization with these

gerbers in cam350. Since I'm new to the Eagle tool,I don't know how to the

panelization in Eagle. Now ,in cam 350 drill file is out of the region. So

can't do the panelization image ....

No,The mentioned setup is already there.Still I'm having this problem. I

imported the gerber through Auto import method.

Are you really sure the auto import got the settings right? (as

    described by Jorge)

The problem you describe is exactly what happens when the viewer guesses

    the wrong format.

GcPrevue, for instance, almost always imports the wrong format when left

on auto, I have to correct manually.

That's not really an Eagle problem though, the file format just leaves

    room for interpretation.

BTW, the boardhouses almost never get confused by this; it's usually just

    a gerber viewer problem.

    Richard

    Hi Rithi,

Make sure the drill format is set to 2.4 Leading Zeros suppressed

absolute inches for the excellon file.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia

    Rithi,

Also make sure that the X and Y offsets are zero, and that "pos. Coord"

is unchecked in all your CAM job's sections,.

    Enjoy,

        - Chuck
