quotes skipped in directory names / 6.4

Hello,

Eagle 6.4 LE Windows (Win7, 64-bit) seems to have a bug with parsing double-quotes in directory names.

I.e. Google Drive application creates a following folder: C:\Users\admin\„Google“ drive\

Then, in Eagle: Options->Directories->Projects->Browse - above folder is added

The newly added folder is parsed succesfully, projects are loaded. However, after closing Eagle and starting it again, a message popups: "The directory C:\Users\admin\Google drive\ doesn't exist - create it?". Notice, the double-quotes have dissapeared in the directory name.

The same record, withouth double-quotes is also present under Options->Directories->Projects.

The next time eagle is started, the projects folder is now "C:\Users\admin\?Google? drive" (instead of absed double-quotes the questionmark appear)

    apologies for the late reply

Unfortunately, google drive doesn't alow to customize its folder name, only the path that folder resides within. Its a know google drive issue.

Even if it would, the recomendation of yours would rather be a hack, than a fix to the problem. It is obvious Cadsoft Eagle cannot parse non-standar double-quotes and replaces them with the questionmarks before saving the path so registry or some *.ini file.

By the way, which is the palce the "directories" are saved? Maybe tuning the particular file entry manualy would resolve this problem?

    Hi Flegmatoid,

Does the Google Drive have to have the double quotes in it's name. Could

you rename it in such a way as to avoid the double-quotes. In this

context such a path string would give problems.

My recommendation would be if possible to rename the drive so that it no

    longer has double quotes.

Additionally did you browse to this folder in OPtions -> Directories or

did you type in the path. If you use the Browse button you allow windows

    to add the string correctly.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia
