Split or break wire on intersection

I'm trying to fillet (round) the corners of my board. After I've created the arc, sometimes I can DEL the extra end bits left over from the straight edge and sometimes the entire edge gets deleted. What causes this difference? I'd like to know how to force a wire to break another wire at the intersection.

eagle connects lines only if the endpoint of one of the lines is

placed exactly on the other line.

Plain intersections do not result in a connection.

Alternatively to using the miter command, you could draw the outline

using the wire command using 'radius' or 'curve' parameters (see help

    wire)

Not answering your question but to round the corners, use the MITRE command.

CHANGE the LAYER to the layer the out line is drawn in, likey layer

20Dimension,  Select MITRE,  and choose "Round mitre wire" and the desired

"Radius". Click on the corner. If the radius is not as desired perform and

UNDO and try again until you get the radius you want. It's best to do the

UNDO otherwise each successive MITRE works on the results of the one before

and things get out of hand and you end up with the scraps you mention in

    your posting.

    All the best

    Warren
