Resistor packages

I am trying to place RN55 (RNF14) & RN60 (RNF12) style through-hole

resistors.  What is the proper package to use? I suspect it is 0309/12, but

wasn't sure if there is a more direct way to look it up. These are very

common parts.

    As somebody answered in another thread just the other day...

     

    The through-hole resistor packages are labelled by dimension, such that

    xxyy/zz means xxmm wide by yymm long body with zzmm pad spacing.

     

    The Vishay datasheet gives the RN55 as 2.3mm by 7.06mm so an 0309/12

    provides reasonable space around it.

    The RN60 is 3.68mm by 10.8mm so you'd need the next size up.

    Since these are common parts, I was expecting to simply search for RN55,

    RN60 styles & have  the correct parts already established under THOSE

    names, especially if I did not have the dimensions.  I suppose that is a

    bit perilous approach.

    are the libraries explained somewhere?  By that I mean an explanation of

    how the libraries are set up:

    if you need a RESISTOR they are organized using..... (width, length,

    spacing)

    if you need a FUSE they are organized using.......

    if you need a CONNECTOR they are organized using...
