How to make tidy trace ends

In the attached screenshot, I have a fat trace entering a rectangular pad

from below (you can see an identical pad just above it).  Is there any way

to prevent the stub (outlined in yellow) from extending beyond the pad?  I

can't figure out how.  Thanks.

    Set your routing grid temporarily to a very fine pitch en shorten the 

    'fat' track (F7) till it's rounded end is hidden beneath the SMD pad.

    That is, of course, assuming the pad is bigger than the rounded track end. 

    Certainly looks that way in the image.
