I opened an existing board design with Eagle 5.11 with Eagle 6.4.  I saved the file <by accident> and now cannot open again the file with Eagle 5.11.  Error Message is "Invalid data in file c:\users......"  Is there a way to go back.  I downloaded Eagle 6.4 just to see what has changed and forgot to switch back to 5.11 prior to working on real projects.  I do not want to update to new version of Eagle at this time.  Thanks

    Simply use your backup.

(File formats are incompatible, this is well documented. If you want to

avoid such problems, use different paths or work with copies of your

    design files.)

If you do not formally backup then Eagle may have an older backup. Open the

folder that V5 fetched the file from and check out the files with file

extentions like myfile.b#1 and myfile.s#2. There are likely 9 for the board

    and 9 for the schematic.

They are previously saved versions. Find the lowest numbered pair that are

not XML when you view them in an editor like notepad. Then  rename the

extentions as .brd and .sch files. Open them with v5 and bring them upto

    date.
