Design Rules

Hi,

When I open a project and load a set of design rules (from, say, my

private rule set), are these rules statically or dynamically linked?

In other words, if I have ruleset1 loaded and change ruleset1, are the

changes reflected in the project immediately (subject to actually

running a check, of course) or must I re-load the rule set for the

changes to become active?

    As soon as you apply a design rule change it is in effect immediately.

    Some of the DRC settings change your board the moment they are applied. e.g

    Restrings, solder stop and paste

    Some are applied as you further create your board. e.g. width and clearance

    when using the auto router

    The remaining ones come into play when you run a DRC check
