BEGINNER: Parts libraries

Hello guys, basically I'm new to CAD software in making my electronics projects. I am looking for some parts for my power supply project, but I can't seem to find it. I've been googling lately but to no avail, can't find the exact parts I'm looking. I looking for a diode which is 1N4001 and a Transformer 12vac. Thanks.

    For the 4001, look in the diode.lbr.  Add the "DIODE-" device and choose

    an appropriate package.  Then, change the value of the part to '1N4001'.

     

    For the transformer, choose one that closely matches from trafo.lbr, and

    give it a value of 12V.

     

    In both cases, you'll have to choose the package to match the part that

    you have, or choose a part to match the package.  If you can't find a

    match, your best bet is to create your own transformer device in your

    own library.  The tutorial supplied with the distribution walks the

    reader through a step-by-step process.
