Pour is Applying Spacing Rules to Dimension Layer

I did a ground layer pour and it is spacing itself away from the dimension layer.  I would expect by default pours would only space themselves away from conductive layers of different NET or board edges.  The dimensions aren't usually physically printed so I did not expect this to happen.

 

In any case, can I fix this the rules so that this doesn't happen?  Any instructions are greatly appreciated.

    I might agree. But have you ever read the "layer" page in the manual (F1) ?

     

    There is a table which reports all layers with a description about their

    use.

    I thought DImension Layer = Use for Dimensions not outline.  The nomenclature is not intuitive but it is what it is, thanks for the headsup.

     

    Would measurements be the appropriate layer to assign to what I am refering to as dimensions?

    "the dimension layer"?

    The dimension layer doesn't need to be printed because it's where the

    board ends. That's what it does.

    If you're putting ANYTHING in the dimension layer that is not the edge

    of the board, then you need to fix what you're doing.

     

    Annotations and markers go in one of the "document" layers, because they

    are pure documentation. That includes any annotations saying "this is

    five inches".
