Is it possible to convert polyline to polygon

Hi Jorge,

 

I used lines to draw a polygon shape previously.  The lines are all connected at each of their ends,  in other words the lines form a continuous closed shape. 

 

Is there any way in Eagle to convert this "polyline" shape to a true polygon so that it may be filled with copper?

    not out of the box, but:

     

     

    If you are using a recent version of eagle (xml file format is the key

    here) I'd consider editing the board file manually (at least for a

    one-time job).

     

    To get a feel for what needs to be edited I'd create a new board file

    with both a polyline and a polygon with similar outline.

     

     

    In case you plan to do such conversions more often, I'd look out for

    an ULP to do it (or write one myself).

    Hi Lorenz,

     

    I'm dealing with the same problem... I had imported some shapes from dxf file and I need to cover that area with copper.

    Unfortunately the rastnets command doesn't work because it is not able to identify a closed shape.

     

    Could you kindly send the ULP routine for the conversion of wires in polygons? Or give me more information how you had solve the problem?
