Hello,
Two very annoying problems occur when I use the middle mouse click to change layers.
- First, while manually routing traces "follow me" stops working. Or rather it stops showing that it is working. After changing layers with the middle mouse button, I move the mouse around but the trace doesn't follow it. Once I left click somewhere, the trace is placed but the live "follow me" view still doesn't work until I change back layers.
- Second, after changing layers with the middle mouse button, if I press and hold the middle mouse button to pan, the screen re-centers itself somewhere other than the mouse location. It appears to recenter at the edge of the screen opposite where my cursor was. Also, if I select the move tool and hold the middle mouse button the "mirrored" and "unmirrored" icons in the parameters toolbar switch back and forth, like it is mirroring something even though nothing is selected.
Neither of these problems happen if I use the dropdown box to change layers. However the drop down is a huge waste of time, and time is money and frustration.
I am using 6.6.0 on OSX, however these problems were occurring in 6.5.0 and with multiple mice.
I disabled the middle mouse scroll left and scroll right buttons on my G500 using logitech setpoint software, but the problems persisted.
I also tried "legacy mouse wheel mode" but the problems persisted.
Thanks for any help you can give!
EDIT: This may be a bigger problem than I realized, as it appears to be caused by more than just changing layers.
The same problems just happened in the schematic editor after editing a symbol. I tried moving a symbol around but it wouldn't show the symbol moving in real time. Once I left clicked it placed the symbol where my mouse was. The screen also kept re-centering when I tried to pan.
