How to create LOGO

Former Member
Former Member over 10 years ago

Hello everybody

I want to know how to create Logo for a factory that I work for. As you can see on the attach, I want to convert this image to buttom or top layer to put on my boards. Is there any way to do it easily? or.. Do I have to do it drawing piece by piece?

Thanks for all help.

That's quite a complex logo. The text font will cause an issue, the

truncated crescents would be a challenge to define.

There is a ULP to import bitmaps which would probably do a tolerable

job, but be aware that it creates a rectangle element for every pixel so

it makes for big files if you want any sort of resolution.

Not a rectangle per pixel, rather a rectangle per stripe.

Have a look at the logo.lbr for examples.

The greatest care to take is the width of the wires uses as the wires

determine the detail achievable and at the same time narrow wires cause

    file bloat.

Expect to create a number of the same logo of different sizes. They cannot

be scaled on the board so you have to create them in the finished size.

There are some ULPs around that assist with scaling a logo once you have

    the first one.
