Other supply nets (not sure if it's a net)

I'm making an Eagle version of an old paper schematic. The drawing has many places that look like nets to me, named ending of lines that have another named partner elsewhere on the drawing. For example, V+ is one and I understand how to use the V+ in the provided Supply libraries to represent that. However there are many others labeled Vsw, A, B, C, D, E, Vr, etc. for which there are no obvious schematic representations in the included libraries. I should mention in the drawings, the line-ends are terminated in a tilde "~" like shape.

What's the proper way to represent these connected areas without dragging wires\nets between them?

OR, should I not bother and just connect them? The original layout was for a print magazine, maybe its easier to just draw it up connected... I'm leaning that way, but I'd like still to know how to do represent these properly.

Thanks,

-p

    Hi

You do not need to run lines all over the place.

Nets are logical connections so if they exist as fragments all over your

    schematic they are connected.

So use the net tool to create a short wire from a pin. The system will give

    it a name like N$1.

Use the LABEL tool to click on the net to get a label. This makes it easier

    to see whats going on.

Use the NAME tool to change the net to what you want e.g B

Then on another portion of the schematic repeat the process.

Both (all) B net segments are connected.

Once you view the board the air-wires confirm that all the net 'B' segments

    are connected

    HTH

Thanks a lot for the quick reply, I get what you're saying. I'm on the road without that laptop and will give it a shot when I'm back at that machine.

    Thanks again, very much appreciated!

in addition to the info Warren supplied:

have a look at the options for positioning the label text (help change

align) and the XREF option of the label command (help label).
