Eagle 7.3 schematic: cursor missing in text boxes?

Hi all. I just upgraded to 7.3 (64 bit version on Win7-64), and I'm noticing that when opening a dialog (in Schematic) where the cursor would position to a textbox, or simply clicking into a textbox, the text cursor doesn't appear. You have to actually type a character, or press a cursor arrow key, and then the text cursor will appear. This is not fatal, but very annoying, as you can't initially tell where the typing will take place.

 

This happens in all text boxes, but just as an example, it definitely happens when opening a component's Properties dialog.

 

Is this a bug for everyone, or am I experiencing something unique on my system?  I don't have reason to believe my system is special (and I don't see this symptom on any of the many other software packages I use), but you never know.

    It's now a few days later, I've used Eagle several more times, including after a reboot, and still this problem persists. So it doesn't seem an anomaly related to a completely fresh install.

     

    Any comments? Corroborations?

    Hi,

     

    I use Eagle 7.3 on Win 7-64 bits and Linux (opensuse/kde)  and I never experience your problem.

     

    But for the record, on Win I had to select the 'XP' style theme because with the default theme I had some trouble with the LAYER selection ( the contrast in the layer list was really poor if the list loose the focus (you select your layer, it's OK, but if you click on apply or an other button it's became impossible to see which layer is selected  !)

    Hi Richard,

     

    So far as I can tell, Guillaume's suggestion wouldn't be expected to bear on the problem. However, just in case by it might, I tried a couple of other themes ("Windows 7" and "Windows Classic"), and in both cases the same symptom occurred as I described in the original post.
