UCN5801A

The UCN5801A is now obsolete in the 22 pin Plastic DIL package. They are available from Obsolete IC Dealers but expensive. Do you know if there is a physical and/or logical replacement (we can make an adapter to fit the DIL footprint)? We are not designing it into a new product but need 100 for a legacy production run.

You probably posted to the wrong group, but I can imagine these chips
have to be VERY expensive to save money doing an adapter.

Looks like ebay has lots of them, so there should be room for negotiation.
