cam2dxf.ulp invalid point error

spiritualmadman

I am using Eagle 5.5.0 on a Win 10 x64 system and it has been working flawlessly.

My tech data group needs output in *real* .dxf or.dwg !vector! format.

I found a ULP named cam2dxf (of course there aren't really any instructions) but when I try to run it I get an Invalid point: (x86)/Eagle-5.5.0... error.

Any ideas as to how to correct this? How to troubleshoot this?

Is it actually barking at the folder name maybe? Which doesn't make a lot of sense when other ULPs run as well as the cam jobs.

After sending the brd file for review, stumbled on another forum that pointed to the dxf.ulp file which works for both brd and schematic.

it uses a common output name for both so you need to change the name to prevent over writing.

This is good to know, thank you.

Might be an old version of the cam2dxf.ulp. If you can send the board

file to support@cadsoftusa.com and I'll see if I can reproduce the

error. If I can't then you may want to upgrade to 5.12 which was the

last release of the V5 series and has all of the bug fixes that were

    applied to that release.
