Why are my Drills & Holes layers scaled up about 90 times?

Hello everyone,

Today I was finishing a PCB for a school project. I would like to have this PCB developed at a company. Therefore I need gerber files.

In the past, this was not hard at all, just use the Gerber Job file.

But now it is a little bit harder. For some reason the Drills and Holes layers are scaled up by almost 90 times... Also the dimension layer is not picked up (the silk screen of some components is outside of the board, but it will crop to that instead of the dimension line).

Does anyone have any idea why this happens and how I can solve this?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,

Lars Jansen

Your gerber viewer did not detect increased resolution of the gerbers.

    components is outside of the

    board

Smash and move the data on tplace.

If you are using unedited lib parts the info on tplace and tDoc may need

to be adjusted. Always check any lib part against the data sheet and it

is a good idea to print a 1:1 and place real parts to see if they really

    match the package.

    Hello Paul,

    Thank you for your answer.

I tried a lot of Geber file viewers, but they all do the same. Is there a way to reduce the resolution of the excellon gerber file?

Smash and move the data on tplace.

I will definitely try that, thanks!

    Kind regards,

Change the output format to EXCELLON_24 when running the excellon.cam job.
