Can you interconnect nets with different names?

Hi!

 

I'm wondering if it's possible to inter-connect busses (nets) with different names?

 

This is what I'm trying to do:

 

I have a large uC that has different pins for analog, I/O and logic power. Each is connected to VCC, but with specific and different filter caps. For clarity, I want a bus named VDDD to go to it's filter caps and then connect to VCC, a VDDA that does the same, and so forth.

 

Everything is fine until I try to connect VDDD to VCC and all I can do is rename the new, merged net.

 

Any clues if it's possible to do?

    This is an FAQ. Most people use a library of virtual wire links -

    overlapping SMD pads - to connect different nets at one point only.
