No Vertical Flip Option

Hi Jorge,

Is there a vertical flip function available for components?

Have a nice day

Old thread but for those googling... You could setup a script to make it one step and make the script a keyboard shortcut. Josh

    Hi Compact,

I hope you're doing well. Define vertical flip.

If you are referring to the schematic, you can usually obtain any type

of component configuration by using the rotate and mirror operations.

If you are talking about the board then usually, the mirror command can

take components to the bottom of the board.

Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia

It's with regards to the schematic capture. And that's what I've been doing.

I would like to perform a vertical flip in a single action as per the horizontal flip.

BTW - when flipping a component I'm annoyed by the way the annotations are moved.

I have to smash the component and move them.

Is it worthwhile to enhance EAGLE to nominate locked position annotations.

    Hi Compact,

There isn't a one click way to do a vertical flip, you have to rotate to

the appropriate orientation and then mirror.

Someone else has already asked for some mechanism to basically avoid

having to smash parts as often.

    hth,

    Jorge Garcia
