bottom layer

Hello,

I have to create a PCB which has 4 layers (TOP, VCC, GND, BOTTOM),

and my problem is the next :

The bottom layer (or the last layer) has several connectors.

But these connectors have to be guided on the outside of the PCB.

How do you do on the EAGLE software for setting these components in the sens?

I use in the software the "mirror" command but it display me an error message:

"The standard edition of EAGLE can't perform the requested action!

Some objects extend outside the allowed board area."

Why?

    Hi!

Not sure I understood everything but here is what I think your problem is. You have the standard edition of Eagle. In the standard edition, your board size is limited. To do so, they limit the origin of some objects (smd, pad, drills and others) to the board dimension. This means that you are limited to 160mm in the X axis (from 0mm to 160mm) and 100mm in the Y axis (0mm to 100mm).

I assume you get this error because you are mirroring your component while it is in the negative X and negative Y. Move within the allowed area and you'll be able to mirror it. Note that you can change the layer of objects by clicking the button of the wheel of your mouse.

    Hope this helps!
