Hello,
I am doing a high-voltage pcb design, and want to setup different net classes for proper clearance. But how to setup different clearance distance for the traces (isolated/lackered) and the (open) solder pads?
This is for a 3phase motor controller, so there will be groups of nets related to DCmin, to DCplus and to the 3 phases. Within each group will be low voltage / standard clearance, but between the different groups more distance is needed.
The design rules / clearance tab gives separate options for pad-trace-via, but I have not found how to configure that for distances between separate net classes.
For example:
0_default: as standard, used for GND_low voltage elements.
1_DCplus: standard sizes/clearnce for parts within this class, but between class 0 and 1: pad-pad 100mil, pad-trace 50mil, trace-trace 20mil
And for each phase will be an additional classes similar to the DCplus.
I am working with Eagle 6.5, but if version 7 makes a difference I will consider upgrading.
Maybe I am approaching this all wrong, thanks for any suggestions,
Harry Kroonen
