Yesterday was my first day with Eagle schematic. At this point, I don't know how to create or modify library components. I need a schematic symbol for a TE Connectivity KHU17D16 4PDT relay (or equivalent.) How can I find one?

Are you sure you have the type number correct?
Provide a link to the data sheet you will have a greater chance of someone
helping.
Have you checked the Eagle supplied libraries for a similar footprint?
Most frequently you will be advised to learn how to create/modify library
items. This will be quicker than waiting for something that may never
arrive.
All the best

No, the number had a typo. I apologize. The correct number is KHU17D16. It is a ubiquitous relay that has been popular for many years. It's the same footprint as the KHP17D11 from Potter & Brumfield. Anyway, here is the PC socket:
27E007 - TE CONNECTIVITY / POTTER & BRUMFIELD - RELAY SOCKET | Newark element14
Yes, I have looked through the supplied library, and I was not able to spot one. It could be there, and I could have missed it.
I fully intend to learn to make library parts, but it makes no sense to reinvent the wheel. It was easy to create in TinyCAD, which I will go ahead and use for now if there isn't one available for Eagle.
Thanks.
So it's the socket footprint you are after. That can make a difference.
Also the ground lugs can be optional?
As for reinventing the wheel, you will need to check each and every
footprint you source if you have not created it yourself.
In the Eagle supplied libraries (relay.lbr) there are three packages that
are close
HC2-PS-K (It would only need the missing pads to be added. The pads already
present are in the correct place and the drill size correct. Down side, the
symbol and Device and connections will need to be addressed also.
PT4 and PT78604 (The drill size needs increasing otherwise the pads are in
the correct place) The advantage here is that you will not need to modify
the Symbol or device/connection)
Check everything to your satisfaction.

None of those parts is in my relay.lbr library. Does it matter that I'm using the Light version? I did a manual and an automatic search.
Hi
Today I am referencing lite versions 7.2.2 beta and 7.6
They are in the included libraries
Remember, I'm referring to Packages so once you open the relay library you
need to look in the packages folder
