Clearance on PCB

Former Member
Former Member over 9 years ago

Hi guys

The following happens:

I have a schematic with its own board I worked with for some time and the original idea was to make the PCB with a CNC machine. Today no longer count on that machine and my only option is to make the PCB by hand with UV or the typical Blue Sheets and this implying that the clearance between the polygons of my board are small for a homemade work.

Is there any way other than to make a new design, to make those larger clearances?

Regards!

You can adjust the clearance settings in the DRC rules. This will

increase clearances to polygons, as well as causing DRC errors on any

tracks you've placed closer together than your new limit.

By the way, I'm usually quite confident doing 16mil clearance on home

etch with laser-printer transparency and UV box. I'll push 12mil if I'm

feeling adventurous (and the board and chemicals are all new). How big a

clearance are you expecting to need?
