How can I restore a deleted component value in a schematic?

maartendekkers

Sometimes Values (or for that matter Names) are deleted from a schematic by accident.

Of course Undo will help to get it back when not too much later changes are made.

Or even deleting the whole component and add it again will solve it, but that can mess up your already designed board.

Is there another way to restore the Value (or Name) to show up in the schematic again? (I tried the Attributes button but Name and Value are not showing in the diaglog box.)

Thanks!

BR.

Unsmashing the component works for me.

Yes, that seems to work! Thanks!

But "Unsmashing" works only using Properties ("i")?

    Hi,

you can also use Shift + SMASH for unsmashing the texts.

    From Eagle help:

A "smashed" element can be made "unsmashed" by clicking on it with the Shift key pressed (and of course the SMASH command activated).
