Newbe Creating A Library Device

I just learning Eagle software so please excuse my dumb questions.

I am tiring draw the attached screen shot of a part. I have been tiring to do the steps of the "Creating a Library Device" tutor.  My question is how do I draw the SMD pads with the proper dimensions? I can get the dimensions of the pads, which are wrong. So how do  I change the dimensions? Also how do I name the pads?

    Hi

There are many ways to approach this.

From the command line, because I get to type less.

    Grid mm

Click the three ... at the bottom of the list of sizes that presents.

Enter the size in millimeters '6x2' (no quotes needed)

    Click OK

Click on the smd that need to be that size and they will change to that size

    Once done, click on 'Stop'

To name the pads use the name command or

    right click on the smd

    select 'Name'

    enter the pad name

There are many video tutorials on the web that show all the steps for

library creation. Some are good, others are painful.

This source is worth a visit https://learn.sparkfun.com/tutorials/tags/eagle

Do as many as you can, they are all different.

    All the best

    Warren
