How to hide components on PCB?

ethrbh

Hello,

I am working in Eagle-7.2 freeware, and I am looking for a way to hide components on PCB design, but keep up in the Schematic.

So, I have done the schematic, where several components are placed. I also made the PCB design, and that looks good. Now I would like to make another PCB variant/version from where few components are not shown, so the selected components are not visible in the PCB, no related wires, ect. are placed, but I would like to keep all those in the schematic. Fist I would like to as you, does this feature supports by Eagle? If so, how can I do that?

Thanks for your help,

/Robi

    Hi Robi,

The closest thing available in EAGLE to your description is Assembly

variants. However, the traces and component pads will still show up on

    the board.

See section 6.9 of the EAGLE manual.

    Best Regards,

    Jorge Garcia
