I see that I can import an entire *.brd and its associated *.sch pages into an existing design. Is it possible to create a library of these design elements, or is the current approach just to organize them in folders and import them as-needed? (e.g., a PoE power design)
I can see some benefits of the library approach, such as being able to update a master and have consumers accept the changes. But also some challenges, like if the layout was changed, layers or signal re-mapped, etc, and how those would resolve.
The idea wouldn't be to have a fixed blob like an independent external module, but to integrate a reference design into a new project - essentially like Import seems to do, but with some of the benefits of Library.
