I'm not sure if this is an obvious question or a bug...
I'm using a Premium license with v7.7 - if I try to place any component (even the first one) where a pad has a negative X or Y coordinate, I get a license error that the layout is out of range. But, of course, I haven't exceed the allowable dimensions.
Surely Eagle could be smart enough to check the X and Y ranges to see if I'm within my license boundary? Or is it really requiring that the board origin must be placed at the lower-left-most corner of a board design?
There are practical reasons I might want the board origin to be elsewhere (like to sync the mechanical PCB design with an enclosure manufacturer's XY origin), but perhaps this is not industry practice?
Thanks!
