Silk screen on pad Tname

Hi everyone,

I have a question on the Name layer and "stop mask" error.

I am using the MSP432 micro controller and imported the library(package/symbol) from TI design file.

For this part, It has the following shape on the Tname layer which gives me "stop mask" error.

My question is that if this get printed on the board, will it be a problem for soldering? (I am hand soldering it)

Since This part is directly from TI eagle launch-pad  design file. Can i just ignore this error?

Thanks,

Eddy

It has been said many times before and no doubt will be many times again:

    - Never trust a library you didn't create yourself

    - Never trust anything you find on the Internet (even if it's the TI site)

Your images are too zoomed in to be sure but it looks to me that this

shape is a mistake in the library. They appear to have drawn outlines

round all the pins, which you should never do, on the tName layer, which

makes no sense for outlines. You should fix it by deleting the offending

rubbish from your copy of the library.
