restoring schematic-board consistency

Hi.  I have a small board where consistency between schematic and board has been broken.  I managed to corrupt the board file when trying to create a panel and for some reason the restored version isn't consistent with the schematic and giving me ERC errors.  Even when I delete all the routing, I can seem to get the board and schematic to "reconnect".  A simple task has now turned into a pain in the proverbial. I don't mind redoing the simple routing but would prefer to not have to delete the board and start all over completely.  Solution?

    Hi,

    first, as Rachael asked for.

Or, if the PCB is very small you can delete the brd file, also the br# files.

Then repair in the schematic all what happened.

After that once again create the board from schematic.

That can be faster then searching some errors.

hm,, one can happen - saving the files all.

If they are not regularly saved (save all) and you close the panel,

    some things can be broken.

    Gerald

Hi.  Sorry for the tardy reply.  In the end I managed to restore an old version of the board and schematic together and redid all the subsequent changes. It was a very small simple board and so only took an hour.  It could have been a lot worse. Redoing the board from scratch would have taken a bit longer.

Rachael I don't recall the exact errors but they essentially the routing in the schematic didn't match the routing on the board - even when I deleted all the schematic routing (and on the board) and rerouted the schematic.  Every pin to pin connection threw up an error.  Eagle just seemed to puke over the issue and never allowed a way for the two to be recombined.

Given it could have been a very ugly scenario on an even modest board, it would be good to know if there was a way to reconnect schematic and board - even if the board routing needed to be redone.
