How do I delete object on eagle on mac

marciokoko
marciokoko over 8 years ago

Ive been racking my brain here.  I click on the garbage can button, then ctrl+click (on my macbook trackpad) over the component.  I can see a Delete:Group popup show up but its greyed out so I cant delete it and nothing else happens.  What should I do?

Thanks

Delete group is likely greyed out because you don't have a group defined. Are you in the board or schematic? If you are in the schematic and select delete and then click on an object (without ctrl) it…

Delete group is likely greyed out because you don't have a group defined. Are you in the board or schematic? If you are in the schematic and select delete and then click on an object (without ctrl) it should delete. If you are trying to delete stuff in the board with the schematic open so back annotation is active then it wont delete and will tell you it needs to be done in the schematic. In the board, mostly you'll need to use "Rip Up", except for polygons which you can delete.

Also, on a mac, a lot of things are done with Cmd and not Ctrl.

    Best Regards,

    Rachael
