MCP23017-E/SO lib for eagle7.7?

Hey,

I just got my brand new  MCP23017-E/SOMCP23017-E/SO and tried to add it to my eagle project I downloaded the script from Farrell and created the lbr file as written in the readme

However, the resulting element looks really strange and nothing like in the data-sheet. Is it possible that the script does not work with eagle 7.7.0?

I'm running it under Ubuntu x64 and never had an problem before with other libraries.

Any tips would be highly appreciated, I'd really like to continue with my project, thanks!

Edit: added a screenshot how it looks like.

    HI Tom

The image you posted is fine. The pins and there names match the data sheet. It is common for the schematic parts to be logical representations of the device rather than showing a layout as if you are looking down on the physical device.

For example its often easier to lay out the ports on the schematic with the ports arranged like the image rather than the chip layout.

    Hi,

thanks a lot! You are absolutely correct. It came out perfect. It was just a little irritating to see that layout, but the resulting PCB is just fine image
