Board and schematic are not consistent!

excessor
excessor over 6 years ago

All was well and then....   I have lots of hours in this design..  Parts all placed on the board, all routed.

Then, I found an error and corrected it and next thing i know is my schematic and board won't speak to each other.

IIs there ANY way to fix this without starting all over?   I have lots of hours in the board placement, etc.

Thanks

For any thread in this topic. Try to replace the conflictic components. Even by the same. Some times works. Good luck!

Yes there is fortunately. Run ERC and see what the differences are. Then make changes in one or other editor to correct the differences. Re-run ERC often (after every change) to see progress towards becoming back in sync.

    Best Regards,

    Rachael

P.S. Never make edits with one editor closed and then this should not happen in future.

    In addition to Rachael:

usually eagle creates a backup (*.s#5) i.e. named 1-9 (one being the

    newest).

You can rename one (or more) set to .sch and .brd in a different

directory and check whether they are consistent.

If you can remember what device(s) you have changed (see ERC List) you

can delete them and start over with .brd and .sch open.

It is work anyway, so remember Rachaels P.S. line.

BTW I did this mistake once only and it never happened again image
