Board and schematic are not consistent!

excessor
excessor over 6 years ago

All was well and then....   I have lots of hours in this design..  Parts all placed on the board, all routed.

Then, I found an error and corrected it and next thing i know is my schematic and board won't speak to each other.

IIs there ANY way to fix this without starting all over?   I have lots of hours in the board placement, etc.

Thanks

Yes there is fortunately. Run ERC and see what the differences are. Then make changes in one or other editor to correct the differences. Re-run ERC often (after every change) to see progress towards becoming…

For any thread in this topic. Try to replace the conflictic components. Even by the same. Some times works. Good luck!

Sir i have faced similar problem in one of my design on eagle software before two years, i draw a project schematics and roughted the board layout ( manually ). I have no problem at that time completing the sch & brd files. After that i have decided to change some lbr files in brd layout ( like silkscreen and that part pad spacing etc ). After these modifications the problem has been started like similar, schematics and board layout are not communicating each other. Iam also confused where I have done the mistakes, after some times i run the ERC i get a clue for the error. When I edited my lbr part for the current board design i changed the part names ( like symbol name, package name, device name etc for new lbr part and saved as a new part lbr) i completely forgot this mistakes at that time, because i have very little knowledge on eagle pcb design. Normally i will edit the lbr packages for my needs on every board layout, after this i run the library update for the current part in board layout editor. I believe this is not the proper way to handle this software, because i have learn the eagle pcb design through YouTube video tutorials. Please check you have done similar mistakes like me. And sorry for my bad English, thankyou.
